While de_sacrelige is a fairly small Counter-Strike map--don't let its size fool you. It's very complex. Part of my mapping style is to make maps that span many vertical levels (the Z axis). This is no exception. There are many places to hide. I'm betting this map will become one of the most popular I've ever made.

And yes, before you note the name of the map, I know that the word "sacrilege" was not named properly. When I named it, I was thinking of the words sacred and religion... hence a misnomer. When I get around to making a CS:Source version*, I will probably change the name.

The official text for the map follows:

There is an ancient temple in
southern Italy that has remained
intact for nearly two thousand
years. It's secluded from the
outside world by high mountain
walls in a remote range. It's
said that monks authored many
early religious documents here.

Terrorists - Bomb the top of the
temple before the Counter-Terrorists
secure the area.

Counter-Terrorists - Hold out and
defend the temple from the terrorists.

This map was featured on the front page of CS Nation and other Counter-Strike sites. It has been downloaded thousands of times from my server. While there are a couple minor texture-alignment issues... I am exceptionally happy with this map. It gets the most compliments from my collection of maps.

* I have already created a Source version of this map for the HL2 mod called Hidden:Source. See hdn_sacrelige.
